The Neuron Cabinet Safety is an advanced wireless sensor designed for monitoring temperature in industrial electrical cabinets and detecting whether cabinet doors are open or closed. An abnormal increase in temperature can indicate faulty connections or electrical failures: this sensor provides an early warning system to prevent fires and serious malfunctions.
Thanks to its compact size, IP67-rated enclosure, and integrated long-life battery (up to 10 years), it is ideal for critical industrial environments.
Temperature is one of the most crucial parameters in electrical systems. Loose connections or damaged components often lead to rising heat, which can result in short circuits or fires. The Neuron Cabinet Safety Sensor allows continuous wireless monitoring of internal cabinet temperature, combined with open/closed door status detection via a built-in magnet.
The device reliably measures air temperature using an NTC thermistor and sends the data to the Neuron Cloud via the Neuron Gateway, enabling real-time monitoring via app, browser, or API.
The sensor measures temperature and door state every 3 seconds. If the variation exceeds a defined threshold, it sends an instant alert. Otherwise, it transmits data every 2 minutes. The thermistor is placed in direct contact with a thermally conductive surface inside the IP67 enclosure, ensuring accurate and stable temperature readings.
